TBW - UNDER SHIELD IS THE BEST

Posted by Unknown on Feb 16th 2017

I have installed this 2 times without and with new Front Wheel Well Shields so I have some experience. LOL This is not that expensive and is very easy to install. Looks Great and Very Strong - I have a short section of Dirt road that I travel every day and the ruts were so deep the UNDER SHIELD hit at 10MPH several times but has held tight. I would recommend the hardware kit because you will need it for those parts that are going to be missing and also so you can connect the 2 aluminum pieces together. I would also order their Push pin set, because more than likely if your under shield is damaged and so are your Front Wheel Well shields because they connect to the front bumper and Under Shield. Hint on installation - put both aluminum pieces together before install, then remove them and put the front on 1st attached to the bumper then add the back piece. This way you understand where and how the hardware fits (hardware vs distance from holes). Also you may need to use a drill to put an extra hole in the Front Wheel Well Shield to secure the Under Shield better. CONS: 1.) it hangs down about a tad bit more. 2.) If it breaks off the font bumper like the OEM part did, I would bet it could do more damage than the OEM plastic part. PROS: 1.) it is VERY STRONG and can take a beating. 2.) Looks great. 3.) Protects your OIL pan where OEM does not. Buy it - you will like it.

    Hardware Kit for Under Shield

Posted by Unknown on Feb 16th 2017

I purchased the TBW Under shield and its kit, then replaced my broken one. But the Wheel Well Shields also got damaged so the installation was not quite perfect, time for a do_over. So I order this part kit just in case. Glad I did, the Push pins were just what I needed to get my new Wheel well shields installed and the Hardware was also needed to reset those that had broken off. These are quality goods not crap and worth every penny.

    Far exceeded my expectations.

It wasn't exactly oem. However, it was far better than the originals I left over. Decided to toss the oem hardware and use these. They were fantastic.
